Water safety is relevant all year round, regardless of the weather. Drowning accidents don't just happen in the warm water of summer, but also when the water hits zero.
On buoyancy, safety and speed, LifeBoard provides a better rescue and prevents more drowning accidents.
It can often be difficult to assess whether the ice can support you, and if you do venture out onto the ice, there may be several reasons why the ice cannot support you.
Falling through the ice and hitting the cold water can be life-threatening, and the thin ice can make it extremely difficult to perform a rescue operation. That's why we developed the LifeBoard Ice Kit, where you can help the victim from a safe distance and from land or solid ice. The Ice Kit is designed for ice rescues.
Safety is always the first priority. The safety of both the victim and the rescuer. Our rescue equipment is specifically designed for ice-related accidents, increasing the safety of both the civilian rescuer and the victim.
The ice kit add-on on the LifeBoard is designed and created by the same people, making safety the first priority.
We have developed a flotation device that also functions for ice rescues. This way, we contribute to civilian safety, ensuring that relevant rescue equipment remains available for civilians outside the lifeguard season, should an accident occur.
To adapt the board for ice rescues, we have implemented the following features:
1. Simple instructions for safe ice rescues
2. A safety strap with ice picks for personal safety
3. A 100-meter safety line mounted on the LifeBoard, which can be handed to a rescuer on land or attached to a stand
With the ice kit as an addition to the LifeBoard, you have access to effective rescue equipment year-round, regardless of wind, weather, or water conditions.

If there are several people, the safety line bag can be given to someone on shore who can then pull the rescuer and rescued person ashore
LifeBoard is used to distribute weight when moving towards the person in distress
Push the LifeBoard over the ice to keep distance from the unsafe ice. The LifeBoard can slide the last 10 m to the emergency site while the safety line is attached
Pull person gently out of the water and then onto land

In collaboration with Oslo Sjöskole, we have introduced LifeBoard with ice kits for future training of more than 7000 children per year to save themselves and others in open water.
We are always available and can be contacted for non-binding guidance on rescue equipment, swimming safety, demonstration, cooperation, training and events with associations. Or whatever is on your mind!
We would love to hear from you, whether you are a citizen, lifeguard or from an association or municipality.
